This homeowner purchased a home that Mallard had replaced the roof in 2015.  They had lost shingles in a storm and we repaired their roof.  When Norman was hit with a huge hail storm in April they called and we tarped their roof, got their gutters and garage door replaced.  They were one of the lucky ones that their windows didn't break but one pane of glass.  Many homes were boarded up for over 6 months.  We replaced the roof with GAF Armorshield II shingles in weathered wood.  These impact-resistant shingles will save them money on their insurance and save them from getting a new roof as soon.  The last picture is of the roof after Norman's second baseball size hail storm in October.  The vents are dented, but the shingles are still good.

Norman, OK Tarped, boarded and waiting on windows

Norman has been hit by 2 hail storms this year and it has been a challenge to get everything repaired and back to normal.  Aaron worked with this homeowner and their insurance to get their roof gutters and windows replace.  Two out of three ain't bad.  We went out and tarped the roof and boarded their windows.  Then we replaced their shingles with GAF ArmorShield II shingles in Slate and replaced their gutters. Now the waiting game.  Boarded windows are the norm now in Norman.  It is taking over 6 months to get them if they aren't standard windows.  Soon we'll have this homeowner back to normal.

This home had damage from recent hail storms and we went out and placed tarps to keep it from having more damage.  Sometimes you come along a house that didn't tear off the old shingles and added a new layer over them.  This home had a layer of wood shingles then asphalt shingles over that.  We tore off both layers of shingles added new OSB decking and installed GAF Timberline HDZ shingles in shakewood.

Wood shingles replaced with designer shingles in Norman, OK

After two large hail storms in Norman, many homeowners like this one decided to replace their wood shingles with designer shingles.  The pictures show the process of changing types of shingles.  You can see the before picture and the wood shingles. Next, we tear off the old shingles and felt that exposes the decking for wood shingles.  For asphalt shingles, you have to have a solid deck so we installed OSB, place a water barrier and felt then the shingles.  This homeowner chose Certainteed Cedar Crest Impact-resistant shingles in Shadow Gray. These shingles have a slate look and finally, you see that home with its new roof.

Norman, OK - Hail damage - New look

We replaced the roof on this home in February and in April we had baseball size hail ---- So we replaced the roof again.  The last time the shingles the homeowner chose were GAF Armor Shield II in Barkwood, but due to so many houses being damaged they couldn't get them. Since this time the siding, garage door, and gutters had to be replaced they decided to go with a new color.  The shingles they chose are GAF Armor Shield II in charcoal.  They chose a lighter garage door and gutters.  Gives the home a whole new look.  John helps them with getting the house tarped to prevent any more damage.  We are still waiting on windows, (like everyone else in Norman) but they should be here soon,

Hail damage in Norman, OK

This zero-lot line home in Norman was in the recent hail storm.  We don't have many homes around here that have 2 owners and one shared roof so it looks funny to see only half of the roof replaced.

There were several places that the brick had big chunks taken out of it by baseball-size hailstones.  Aaron worked with the homeowner and their insurance to make sure we restored their home.

We replaced gutters, skylights, and GAF Armor Shield II shingles in weathered wood.  The siding will be replaced as soon as we get a shipment due to delays.
